One of the simplest and easiest search engine optimization tasks is to include a robots.txt file in your website's root directory. Using Notepad, enter the text "User-agent: *" and save this file as robots.txt in your website's root directory. This file will tell search engine spiders to "crawl every page of my website". You can also block folders that you do not want analyzed (client files, old copies of pages, etc.). Simply add "Disallow: /folder_name/" or "Disallow: /filename.html". |
